Having been around horses and worked with them for years, John and Ashley Hovenden, have lived and learned the special relationship and bond which exist between God, man, and horse. Ashley is a self-proclaimed rescue in more ways than one -- once as a teenager and once as a grieving adult. God used a horse to save Ashley from the destructive thoughts of suicide. Through the healing process with her first rescued horse, God revealed His plan and purpose for the both of them. They started Hope Reigns to bring the same relationship and healing to others.
John and Ashley's personal mission has always been to use the horse to help people know God, and make Him known. By using the rescued horse, Life Groups, loving mentors, and the saving grace of Jesus Christ, those that are broken can heal and achieve higher levels of personal and spiritual growth.
John and Ashley pray that Hope Reigns will help those who are facing the struggle of their unseen wounds and discover the redeeming love of Jesus Christ. Also, to find hope in the midst of life's battles, so healing can begin to take place and life can start moving in a positive way.
Hope Reigns, Inc., is an exempt 501(c)(3) non-profit Texas corporation dba Hope Reigns Ranch. Located in the heart of Magnolia, Texas.
Hope Reigns' mission is to Rescue the Equine, Restore Lives, Offer Hope, and Serve the Community while demonstrating God's Love.
Our vision is to provide a safe, relaxing and supportive environment where both horses and people can come find hope, healing, and restoration.
Hope Reigns is a faith based ministry. Though not associated with any particular denomination, the basis of belief rises from the same Judeo-Christian values that our nation was built upon. The Founders and Board of Directors believe in a Sovereign God and in salvation by grace, a free gift from God, given to all who believe in His Son Jesus Christ, and accept Him as the Lord of their life. It is our greatest desire to serve God by demonstrating our faith, serving others, and giving the same loving grace that has been freely given to us.
